I wanted to take a moment to recognize Marissa, a manager at The Cheesecake Factory in Otay Ranch. We visited on National Cheesecake Day, so it was extremely busy. We were seated after about a 30-minute wait, which we appreciated. Our server was very busy and we were waiting for drinks and the famous. We still had not ordered yet either… When my granddaughter dropped a spoon, Marissa immediately went behind my granddaughter and picked it up and ask if we needed anything. We asked if we could place our order with her, and she kindly yes, absolutely… She took care of our order and answering our questions and getting things started. Later, she came back to check on us, and her attentiveness and professionalism really stood out. Marissa made our dining experience much better, and we’re truly grateful. Thank you, Marissa!!

Recently celebrated my dad’s surprise 85th Birthday here. Betty helped me organize the 40 person event , and servers Savannah, Saeli and Lino took excellent care of us. I cannot say enough good things about them and our experience. Will come back again.

Cheesecake Factory has always been a special place for me—it’s where I’ve celebrated many birthdays over the years. On July 4th, we decided to skip the fireworks and enjoy dinner instead. We ordered about $170 worth of food, including two appetizers, several entrées, kids’ meals, and a slice of peach cheesecake. The appetizers came out quickly and were excellent—the crab dip and avocado egg rolls were definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. We watched our entrées sit under the heat lamp for what felt like 10–15 minutes while multiple servers and a manager walked by. By the time they reached our table, everything was lukewarm, even my daughter’s fries. The pasta was dry, and overall the food just wasn’t as enjoyable as it should have been. Our server eventually checked in, and while I mentioned the cold fries, most of the meal had already been eaten. She did replace the fries, and the fresh batch was delicious. It was disappointing because I genuinely love Cheesecake Factory. I’m not sure if we’ll be back, but I hope this was just an off night.

Decided to try something different at Cheesecake Factory at Otay Mall for my son’s second birthday. I usually orange chicken or a good burger, on occasion a salad or pasta but I try to opt for things I don’t usually cook at home. One of my step kids doesnt eat fish, so I chose something I haven’t had in awhile. Hence why I ordered the grilled Branzino. While not terrible, the meal was not as exciting as advertised. Here’s what I basically got: •heavily breaded •under seasoned •very light grill •a mound of potatoes •lightly grilled asparagus I don’t like to have to really explain how a meal should be to a cook, neither should I have to. With that being said I tipped generously but I was not satisfied with my order as a whole. Im not one to complain to servers when out and gladly took the meal home to finish later but will not order again for sure. I’ve seen this dish advertised and it was WAY MORE PRESENTABLE ON PHOTOS than what appeared on my plate. Here are photos next day after taking home.

No waiting for four customers during dinner hours (5PM). Our orders were taken as soon as. Ordered appetizers: Stuffed mushrooms - 5/5 Avocado Eggrolls - 4/5 Fried Calamari- 3/5 Main dishes: Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo - 4/5 Chicken Shawarma - 4/5 Chicken Carbonara - 4/5 Shrimp and Chicken Gumbo - 3/5 Drinks: Strawberry Smoothie (2) - 5/5 Disappointed with my gumbo. Chef forgot one of the main ingredients for gumbo, sausage! I had to double checked their website that andouille sausage is mentioned as one of the components before asking our server. Mark did a fantastic job as our server. Came multiple times to check on us. Apologetic that there’s no andouille sausage on my gumbo. Overall great and enjoyable service.
